A couple months ago I applied for the semi pro division (out of amateur and professional) for the the Ontario Pole Fitness Championships in Ottawa, September 29th. Well I didn’t make semi pro. They bumped me up to PRO! WTF! Yeah I’m just as shocked as you are. Hehe.
I never would of considered myself PRO yet. I still think I have a long way to go… But I’ll take it! I just have some serious competition!!! I am up against some seriously awesome Canadian pole dancers! I am so excited to be competing against them!
I’ll probably get creamed. :p But I don’t really have a competitive bone in my body. I want the experience! THIS IS A DREAM COME TRUE! I just want to be able to perform my routine to my song and do it my way and show my style and hope I don’t forget my routine and just do my best and be part of the whole experience!
I’m competing against Shanyn, Miss Pole Dance Canada 2011, my boss/trainer! Ah! She’s so creative, smart and totally kicks ass on a pole.
I’m competing against Madeline and she’s REALLY GOOD too! I’ve met her face to face twice at the Toronto Showcase. She’s been on my pole idol list for a number of years. I watched her on Youtube before I got into pole myself. I don’t stand a chance against her either. :p
Kiran is another really good pole artist I’m up against. I saw her perform in the Toronto Showcase too and she really knows how to put on a performance.
Jenny.. wicked contortionist! She’s super flexible! I don’t think I met her in person but I’ve seen her online and she’s competed before.. OMG she’s really good too!!!
And Polina.. don’t think I met her or saw her but I heard she was really good too. I can’t wait to meet Polina!
So there you have it, I’m up against some beautiful, amazing Pole Athletes! I cannot wait to see everyone again. I can’t wait to see all the other performers in the other divisions.
My routine is written in my head and my song choice goes nicely to it. I am completely being myself in this performance. I like being prepared way ahead of time because it’s so easy to get stage fright and forget your routine. I have some serious training to do so I at least look like I belong in this professional category!
I like training. It keeps my mind preoccupied in a healthy kind of way. I’m going to be 30 in 6 months so I wanna look my best before I mourn my 20′s away! :p
So the plan for that weekend is I’m probably road tripping it with my bodyguard/agent/trainer/husband Friday immediately after work on Friday the 28th. It’s going to be about a 6 hour drive, maybe less. We will be staying in a hotel. Saturday is the competition and the Sunday morning we will drive home. I even thought about driving there early Saturday morning but that might not be the best idea. I dunno. We’ll see.
The cost of this trip is coming out of my own pocket. I think it is too late to find sponsors this year. Last year I had over 700$ in donations/sponsors to compete but I couldn’t compete last year so all donations were refunded. Unfortunately I don’t have the proper lifestyle to be a competitive pole athlete. I actually have to work for a living and I just barely get by now that I don’t work 2 full time jobs any more. Just 1 job that pays like crap and most likely I’m going to be laid off or on strike this fall due to work disputes.
So if anyone would like to donate to my competition fund or sponsor me to this event, I’d greatly appreciate it!

This video is probably one of the best guy girl duo I’ve seen in a while.

What happens when 4 pole dance fitness obsessed women get together for a hike at the Niagara Gorge? They go for a good hike and then they have a picnic after followed by some POLE DANCING IN THE PARKS!!!
And that evening Eros Fitness in Toronto had their grand opening launch party! I don’t even know how I managed to have the energy to go pole all evening after poleling all day! LOL!
What an awesome studio. I love the set up and the look. I wish Eros Fitness the best and success. I know they will do well. So everyone go check out Eros Fitness in Toronto 20 Leslie Street, unit 101.
It was a fantastic day on Sunday April 10, 2011. There was pole dancing, silks, hoop, good food, good tunes and great people! All proceeds went to the Celiac Disease Foundation.
Gary and Shanyn wowed all of us with their duo pole dance. It was sensual, beautiful and moving! This is the best guy girl pole dancing duo I had ever seen online and live!Read More
